Ashworth Construction is founded by David (“Dave”) Ashworth who comes from a multi-generational line of builders focused on high-quality construction and craft.

DAVID (“DAVE”) ASHWORTH
Born and raised in Brevard, North Carolina, Dave was always a builder. As a child, he was reprimanded for sneaking into his grandfather’s workshop and building the structures of his dreams, many of which were inspired by the longtime PBS program This Old House. At age 16, Dave began working in construction ultimately learning every facet of the building trade from grading to framing and carpentry to finishing. With more than 25 years of experience, construction has always been at the heart of Dave’s soul.
Dave is a descendent of John Ashworth who was granted 2,000 acres near Hickory, North Carolina, by the King of England during the Revolutionary War. Originating from a long line of builders, Dave’s family spent their lives building homes in the Brevard and Western North Carolina area. His great-great-grandfather, William Sylvester, founded Transylvania Trust Bank in downtown Brevard.
Dave lives in Brevard and enjoys spending time with his family of four.
